Prajapati Community

We are a sub-sect of the Kumhar caste, though we are also called Vasvaya. Popular surnames of our community include Chavda, Vaghela, Solanki, Gohil and Parmar. Traditionally, the majority of our community members made clay pots and idols to earn a living.
